How Do I Apply for a Duplicate Pan Card?
The process of obtaining a duplicate PAN card is relatively straightforward. You can apply for your duplicate PAN online on the official TIN-NSDL platform. You may also send a physical, written application to NSDL’s PAN services unit. Let us understand both the offline as well as online process of applying for a duplicate PAN Card.
How to Apply for a Duplicate Pan Card Offline?
Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for a duplicate PAN card offline:
Take a printout of the application form from NSDL’s online services website
Fill the form in capital letters and black ink.
Include your 10-character PAN number for reference and ensure you sign it properly.
If you are an individual applicant, provide two passport-sized photographs with your face clearly visible
Send the completed form and payment, along with identity proof, address proof, and a copy of your originally-issued PAN, to the NSDL facilitation centre.
Once you complete the above steps, you’ll receive an acknowledgment number. Also, the facilitation centre shall forward your application to the income-tax PAN services unit. You can track your application using the acknowledgment number. After the department receives your application, you can get your duplicate PAN card in about two weeks.
How to Apply for a Duplicate Pan Card Online?
For a duplicate PAN card online application, follow these simple steps:
Visit the TIN-NSDL website on this link.
Navigate to the ‘Services’ tab and choose ‘PAN’
Go down to the ‘Reprint of PAN Card’ part and tap on ‘Apply’
The online application form will appear. Select the appropriate category and application type.
Complete all the mandatory fields and hit ‘Submit’. You will receive an acknowledgement number in your registered email.
Proceed with the application by providing your personal information and selecting the preferred PAN application document submission method.
Choose between an e-PAN card and a physical PAN card. If choosing an e-PAN card, ensure you provide your email address correctly.
Provide the necessary contact information on the document details page and finalise your application.
You will be guided to the payment page. Complete your payment, and wait to receive an online acknowledgment receipt.
Your PAN card should be dispatched in about 15–20 days.

Documents Required While Applying for a Duplicate PAN Card?
You must provide the following documents while applying for your duplicate PAN Card:
Identity proof (self-attested), e.g., Aadhaar card, Voter ID, or Driver’s Licence, Passport
Address proof (self-attested), e.g., Aadhaar, Passport, Driver’s license, utility bills, bank passbook, etc.
Age proof (self-attested), e.g., birth certificate, or school leaving certificate
Copy of the previously-issued PAN card (self-attested) or the PAN card allotment letter
