HDFC Bank strengthens branch network in Kerala; launches 400th branch in the state

Kochi, Kerala, September 27, 2024: HDFC Bank, India’s leading bank, launched 400^th branch at Vismaya, Infopark, Kochi in Kerala, strengthening the branch network in the state. The new branch was inaugurated jointly by the CEO of Infopark Mr. Susanth Kurunthil and Mr. Dinesh P Thampi, VP & Kerala Head, Tata Consultancy services in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Zackaria, Branch Banking Head, Karnataka and Kerala, HDFC Bank.

The newly inaugurated branch, located at Vismaya, Infopark, is poised to serve the financial needs of the local community. This branch will offer cohesive banking services to the local community. The expansion initiative is in line with the bank's strategic vision for robust growth and strengthening its presence across the country.

HDFC Bank’s journey in Kerala began in 1997 when the first branch was inaugurated in Kochi (Earlier known as Cochin). Since then, the bank has been providing banking services through multiple digital channels such as net-banking and mobile banking. About 70 per cent of its existing branches are in semi urban and rural locations.

As of June, 30, 2024, the Bank had a nationwide distribution network of 8,851 branches and 21,163 ATMs 4,081 cities/towns. In Kerala, the bank has 573 ATM/CDMs and 400 branches with this launch.
