HDFC Bank Celebrates 25 Years in Rajasthan

Jaipur, November 6, 2024: HDFC Bank, India’s largest private sector bank, completes 25 years of successful operations in Rajasthan. The Bank, with 495 branches in the State, is present in all the districts of Rajasthan.

HDFC Bank started operations in Rajasthan in 1999 with the opening of its first branch at Ashok Marg, Jaipur. The Bank spent the first 14 years in building a robust presence in the State with a network of 100 branches; over the next eight years, it added another 100 branches; and today has almost 500 branches in the State. Consistent with the trend of its branch expansion across the country, a total of 47% of HDFC Bank’s branches are in semi-urban and rural areas (SURU) of Rajasthan.

As on June 30th, 2024, HDFC Bank is the second largest lender in Rajasthan with a market share of 17% in total advances. The Bank has a market share of 18.37% and 19.8% in MSME and priority sector lending, respectively.

HDFC Bank is among the largest employers in Rajasthan, with a dedicated workforce of more than 10,000 employees and growing.

As on 30th September, 2024, through its CSR brand Parivartan, HDFC Bank has positively impacted 42.84 lakh lives across the State. The Bank supports the local community in Banswara, Baran, Jaipur, Karauli, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi, and Udaipur, among others.

While HDFC Bank’s Parivartan initiatives are implemented across various causes, the Bank has been honoured with the Bhamashah Award multiple times by the Rajasthan Government for its significant contributions towards strengthening the school infrastructure in the State.
