HDFC Bank Parivartan Empowers Rural Development in Jharkhand

Ranchi, 10 January 2024: HDFC Bank Parivartan, in partnership with KGVK, is strengthening livelihoods through Holistic Rural Development Programme in Ramgarh district, Jharkhand. This program aims to benefit over 12,000 individuals from 2,716 households, focusing on various aspects of rural development.

Ms. Nusrat Pathan, Head of CSR at HDFC Bank, said, "Our collaboration with KGVK is aimed at improving lives in Ramgarh district. Through this initiative, we aim to bring positive change by addressing critical needs and supporting sustainable development.

The project focuses on enhancing irrigated farm areas and achieving 200 acres of additional land under irrigation and vegetative cover to boost agricultural income. Additionally, it targets improvements in water access, sanitation, hygiene, tree plantation, solar street lighting, and the transformation of government schools into smart schools.

The project sets goals to increase income, establish community institutions, improve education quality in schools, enhance land irrigation, reduce carbon footprint, and promote chemical-free farming.
