CM Yogi inaugurates Oxygen plant set up by HDFC Bank Parivartan

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), December 30, 2021: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Shri Yogi Adityanath, today inaugurated a medical Oxygen plant setup by HDFC Bank Parivartan at BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur. The plant would strengthen the city’s healthcare infrastructure to prepare against a possible third wave of COVID-19. The plant uses Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) technology and has a capacity of generating 57.60 m3/hr Oxygen equivalent to 1000 LPM.

The Bank, through its flagship CSR programme Parivartan, has set up several such PSA plants in hospitals across the state and country. The bank installed this PSA plant at a cost of Rs 95 lakh to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure in the city.

Manoj Rai, GIB Head – Uttar Pradesh; Ashwani Srivastava, Area Head – GIB, Gorakhpur; Swadesh Ranjan, (Circle Head) Gorakhpur Circle; Amit Behl, Cluster Head, Gorakhpur; Prateek Rai, Branch Manager, Gorakhpur Branch along with Dr Ganesh Kumar, Principal and Dean of BRD Medical college was present during the inauguration.

The Oxygen plant will make the hospital self-sufficient and eliminate dependence on cryogenic tankers to transport oxygen from far off places.

Parivartan has been a catalyst in making a difference in the lives of millions of people through its interventions in the areas of rural development, education, skill development and livelihood enhancement, healthcare & hygiene and financial literacy.
