1. Can I pay Two-Wheeler Insurance premium in installments?

As per Section 64VB of Insurance Act, 1938 no risk can be assumed unless premium is received in
advance. Hence, full vehicle insurance premium needs to be collected before the start of policy.


2. Is my No Claim Bonus (NCB) transferable?

Yes, in case one is changing from their existing insurance company to ICICI Lombard GIC Ltd. and has accrued
some NCB from their insurer, the same can be transferred in case one’s Two-Wheeler is insured within 90
days of their policy renewal due date.


3. Can other accessories be insured?


Accessories can be insured under a Two-Wheeler Insurance policy with an additional premium. In case
these are factory 􀏐itted, they are automatically insured under the policy however insured needs to insure
them separately if those are installed later. Insured will have to pay additional premium to cover the
accessories in Two-Wheeler Insurance Policy.


4. Can I shift the vehicle from spot of incident/accident?


The insured is allowed to shift the vehicle to garage. But, if the vehicle is found in immovable condition or
there is a leakage of coolant/ engine oil is spotted, then one shouldn’t try to start the vehicle. Instead, they
need to avail assistance of breakdown service van.


5. What should I do if my previous policy has already expired?

Once the policy has already expired, one needs to obtain a fresh insurance. Due to the break in insurance
the vehicle will be physically inspected by a company of􀏐icial or an authorized representative/agency.
One can get in touch with ICICI Lombard’s customer support at 1800-103-2292 (Toll free) to renew policy if
it has been less than 90 days. With this, it is possible to retain the No-Claim Bonus.
