Notification for POS rental

Dear Merchant Partner, 

 
Thank you for partnering with HDFC Bank for your payment acceptance needs. 

We appreciate your participation & the overwhelming response to our campaigns. In our constant endeavour to improve your experience with us, we are further enriching this program to provide you with faster responses from the Bank. 

Towards this, we would like to inform you that we are making certain changes to the terms of the promotional campaign ("UPI22 / UPI23") that was offered to you during the onboarding process, which you signed and accepted. 

Please note that the threshold monthly volume required to qualify for rental reversal will now include Debit and Credit Cards, in addition to UPI volume, on a single terminal. The other terms of charging you the rental upfront and reversing it on meeting the monthly business volume criteria will continue to be the same. Reversals will be implemented within 30 days of qualifying, after deducting GST. 

Minimum volume commitment is as below 

• Top 30 location merchant - Monthly Volume Rs. 2 Lakhs per terminal 
• Beyond 30* location merchant – Monthly Volume Rs. 1 Lakhs per terminal 
• *All Locations that are not included in the Top 30 list. 
  
  

The aforesaid change will be effective from 1st December 2023.
