What is the limit on IMPS fund transfers?

  • If you are using an account number to make an IMPS transaction:

    • The maximum amount you can transfer per transaction is ₹5,00,000.

    • For third-party transactions, the maximum amount that you can transfer in a day depends on the TPT limits prescribed by HDFC Bank.

  • If you are using MMID for IMPS transactions:

    • ₹5000 is permissible per day for IMPS transfers through both NetBanking and Mobile Banking channels.

How to resolve issues with IMPS transactions?


If your IMPS transaction fails or if you are unable to check the status of your transaction, you need to wait for 24 to 48 hours for the funds to be reversed to your account or credited to the recipient's account.
