You simply need to look for the 10-character alphanumeric code (for example, ABCDE1234F) printed on the front side of the card. Method 2: Check Your PAN Number Online through the Income Tax Website

To get your PAN card details via the Income Tax website, you can follow the steps outlined below:

  • Visit the official income tax website.

  • If you have already registered, click on the ‘Registered User’ option. For new users, select ‘Register Yourself’.

  • Choose the user type that applies to you and tap on the ‘Continue’ button.

  • Complete the registration form with your information and tap ‘Submit’.

  • You will receive a one-time password for the mobile number and email address that you entered. Type in the OTP and finish the registration procedure.

  • Log in to your account on the e-Filing website using your newly activated credentials.

  • Navigate to the ‘Profile Settings’ section and select ‘My Account’.

  • Under ‘PAN details’, you will find the following information displayed:

    • PAN number

    • Name

    • Gender

    • Birth date

    • Status

    • Address

  • You will receive a one-time password (OTP) on the mobile number provided while applying for the PAN card. Enter the OTP in the appropriate field and tap 'Submit.'
